Nestly is a personal budgeting app. This policy explains what it collects, why, where it is stored, and how to get it deleted. It applies to the Nestly mobile app for iOS and Android and to the Nestly sync service.
Nestly is published by Omar Alkadri, an individual developer based in Türkiye, acting as the data controller.

| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | Identifies your account and allows sign-in and password reset. |
| Authentication identifier | Links your data to your account. Issued by Firebase Authentication. |
If you sign in with Google, Google shares your email address and account identifier with Nestly. Nestly does not receive your Google password, and does not request access to any other Google service.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Country | Sets sensible defaults for currency and formatting. |
| Base and secondary currency | Displays and converts your amounts. |
| Monthly income, income type, salary day | Powers the month outlook and available-to-spend figures. |
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Wallets — name, type, currency | Organises where your money sits. |
| Transactions — amount, currency, category, date, and any note you write | The core record the app exists to keep. |
| Goals — title, target and current amount, currency, target date | Tracks progress toward savings goals. |
| Budgets — category, monthly limit, currency | Warns you when spending approaches a limit. |
If analytics are enabled, Nestly records that certain actions happened, so that broken or unused parts of the app can be found. These events record that an action occurred — they never carry any amount, balance, note, category, goal name, or wallet name.
The complete list of events is:
signed_up, signed_in, onboarding_completed,
transaction_added, budget_created, goal_created,
goal_contribution_added, monthly_review_opened,
activity_filters_applied, sync_failed,
account_deleted.
Analytics can be turned off at any time in the app, under More → Usage reporting.
When the app crashes, a report is sent so the fault can be fixed. It contains the error and its stack trace, the device model, and the operating system version. It does not contain your financial records.
| Service | Purpose | Provider |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase Authentication | Sign-in and account identity | Google Ireland Limited |
| Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics | Usage events and crash reports | Google Ireland Limited |
| PostgreSQL database on Railway | Syncing your records between your devices | Railway Corp. |
These providers process data on Nestly's behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Their infrastructure may be located outside Türkiye, which means your data may be transferred abroad for storage and processing.
Nestly works offline. Your records are kept in a database on your own device and synced to the server when a connection is available. Removing the app removes that local copy. It does not delete the server copy — use the deletion steps below for that.
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. When the account is deleted, the wallets, transactions, goals and budgets attached to it are deleted with it in the same operation. Crash reports and analytics events are retained by Google for a limited period under their own retention schedules.
Inside the app: More → Account → Delete account. This removes your account and everything attached to it.
If you have already uninstalled the app, use the account deletion request page.
Under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), Article 11, you may ask whether your personal data is being processed, request information about that processing, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure, and object to outcomes reached solely by automated analysis.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you equivalent rights, including the right to receive a copy of your data in a portable form and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, write to [email protected]. Requests are answered within 30 days.
Nestly is not directed at children under 18 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, write to the address above and it will be removed.
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, the updated version will be posted here with a new date, and a notice will be shown in the app before the change takes effect.
